Books Blog

Okay, on one list I’m on there is a meme going around about “what are you reading”? So, in the spirit of that meme, I’m posting the book stack I’m currently working on.

The Tom Clancys are for recreation, the rest are for reviews here. Working from the top down.

Rev. Falwell’s Death

Look for no comments from me on this topic.

He was a mingy human being who hated so much that he caused more problems than he cured. As a man of the cloth, he should have been one to build bridges and create understanding, instead he reveled in creating divisions and animosity.

No, I didn’t like being told that I was responsible for 9-11.

I hope that he understands now, and that he has learned his lessons. I truly hope that he will rest in peace. I feel bad for his family, but I’m thankful he is silent now.

Hosting the Obsidian Mirror again

Okay, some of you might know about my connection to the Obsidian Mirror. Obsy and I are friends. He credits me with saving him from fluffydom.

Well, he wrote a website and had a lot to say. Most of it was very well done and good. About four months ago, the Obsidian Mirror went down for some reason and disappeared off the Internet.

I had a copy of it since I was his host for a short time when he was very strapped for cash. So I have reuploaded a copy of it for you all. THERE WILL BE NO UPDATES TO THIS, I have to make that clear. This is not my site, I have no direct permission to do this, and I am resurrecting a copy of the site, nothing more.

I don’t think Obsidian will have a problem with what I’m doing, but you never know.

Two new Reviews

Okay, got two new reviews up on the Journal.

We also broke 100,000 unique visitors. I know that if I counted the pageloads, I’d probably be on several million by now. But I decided that the more important number is the people who visit. So it only counts one IP address per day. So anyone who visits gets their IP recorded for 24 hours, and a visit from the same location doesn’t count. Kinda stinks when it hits a firewall and everyone behind that firewall is counted as one hit.

Also I have to get the rest of the Witches Pyramid up. But things are happening here that make life “interesting”.

Still no job, but I’m going back to school which makes things even better.

I wish I had a lot of words of wisdom for you, but I’m out of thoughts. With my chronic depression, and new medication I’m going on to control it, my mental processes are kind of messed up. I do have two articles in the works, so those should be up when I have the time.

New Law

Taken from a snark community on Livejournal

McJimmy’s Law

As an online discussion involving fluffies grows longer, the probability of a comparison with/reference to the Burning Times approaches one.

As a coralary to that, it should be noted that the first person to invoke the Burning Times in a discussion automatically loses the discussion, just as with a Nazi comparrison.
