The Creation Dance, The Spiral Dance

I was having a dream.

In this dream, the Goddess came to me. She spoke to me about the mysteries and about the whole of creation.

She showed me a dance. The Great Spirial Dance, the one with the connections to Creation, all the steps, where stomping created a lake, and a pirouette made a mountain and a shout brought clouds to be. She showed me the greater dance and helped me to understand that there was dances throughout the multiverse, each dancer working on his or her own place in the universe, all of them treading measures connecting to each other through the dance. Bringing to fruition the complete creation of the universe, making planets and suns.

She told me one of the secrets. She told me that not everyone was ready for the Dance. That there were many who ignored the call to the dance for what was safe, what was calm, what brought them no responsibility. The Dance brought peril, since whatever you made in the Dance, you were responsible for evermore. You had an obligation to make the dance as perfect as possible since that would ensure that the creation was perfect.

YHVH erred in his steps in the Dance. Other deities erred as well. They were looking after us. From time to time it would show itself in direct action to help us humans, since we were not perfect.

But to those who cast off their own inadequacies, who decided the creation was more important than the fear of error and who could think ahead and creatively visualize what could happen were allowed to take their first tentative steps in the Dance, with the goal of becomming like the deities who tread it as their life.

And the universe opened for me. I knew things I had wondered about and speculated on, I understood why suddenly. Why the stars moved, why death was part of life, why the Gods didn’t show themselves, why we were abandoned, why humanity was struggling. All the whys I had wondered I knew the answers to.

All I had to give up was my fear.

My fear of failure, my fear of mistakes. I had to sacrifice them to the Gods to join in their ecstacy and their dance of life. I had to finally understand that if I made a mistake, so be it. The trick was to not make that particular mistake again, to learn from it and grow beyond it. To keep going despite failure. And to understand that we learn as much from our failures as we do from our achievments. And I had to let that fear go.

And once it was gone, How Beautiful The World Is.

EDIT: This wasn’t a dream that you have when sleeping, it was a dream that you have as a waking dream. I was sitting at my desk and suddenly I had this vision. Don’t ask me why or where, but I did. One part of it was to show others who were reading it that the Gods aren’t perfect and that WE can create.

Censure President Bush

Hi,

Those of you who know me, know that I don’t do a mass email like this lightly. I put you all on this list because I think that this issue is important, as it goes directly to the beginnings of our country and the Constitution itself.

While the issue is “officially” dead due to the Democrats who jumped ship to join the Republicans because they are scared, I think this is too important to be treated as “Politics as usual.”

Yesterday, Senator Russ Feingold introduced a resolution to censure President Bush for breaking the law by illegally wiretapping American citizens.

When the president misleads the public and the Congress and willfully and repeatedly breaks the law, there need to be some consequences –that’s how the law works for everybody else.

Censuring the president is a reasonable first step in condemning the president’s actions. Now it’s up to us to show broad public support for Senator Feingold’s resolution. Can you sign this petition asking Congress to join the call for censure?

http://political.moveon.org/censure/

Thanks!

I’ve communicated with both of my Senators twice at this point, even though Senator Frist is the Majority Leader of the Senate and will probably ignore my suggestions. I sent this to both of them twice now:

“I am writing you today sir to urge you to support the censure resolution against the President. I would like to make it clear, sir that I believe the President should be held accountable for the lies he has perpetrated, the illegal activities he has undertook and the civil rights he has violated. I further thing that he should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law for violating his Oath of Office in that he promised (twice) to “Preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

So far Senator, he has done none of that. He has trampled on rights guarenteed by the Bill of Rights, he has declared war on a nation that has done nothing to us, despite the fact that the only people who can declare war legally are Congress. He has enacted powers that appear no where in the Constitution and called “security”.

Those who surrender essential liberties to achieve temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety. — Benjamin Franklin

We rebelled against the King of England for these very same reasons. I believe that the President should be censured immediately or there shall be a terrible backlash against the entire government mechanism.

“The people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders … All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism.” — Nazi war criminal Hermann Goering (at the Nuremberg Trials)

Please sir, cross party lines and PLEASE support this censure resolution. I feel it is absolutely needed currently.”

Please look into your heart and ask yourself if this is the kind of country you wish to live in. If it is not, please join me calling upon our elected leaders to do what is right and to live up to their oaths.

If you feel that a police state is what you want to live in, then simply ignore and delete this email.

News

Well, in an effort to raise money, I’ve decided to start doing Tarot readings again.

I used to do these professionally, but I got burned out. So I’m going to do these again for you all, exclusively for readers of Daven’s Journal. I’ve linked the proper page several times around the site, but just in case you missed it, the proper page to purchese these from is located at
http://davensjournal.com/Tarot.xhtml

I’ll have a page of testimonials up sometime soon, it’s simply that I don’t have the time right now (and I’m waiting for them to come in).

So, until I get a book deal, buy a reading from me….

New Review up

Well, I just got done writing my review of Buckland’s “Witchcraft, Rebirth of the Old Religion”. It’s up to the right and linked throughout the Journal.

This is a departure for me since it’s a DVD that I was reviewing this time.

Sorry this has been so long in coming. I have about 3 other items to look at and review as well, so it may be the first in a string of such reviews.
